Children’s television

During 2010 through to April 2014 G G Services was involved in the recording of two children’s television series, “Toybox” and “Pipsqueaks”. These were productions of the Beyond group recorded at Seven Brisbane’s studios. G G Services supplied several floor monitors and video distribution amplifiers and Derek Griffin was Assistant Sound Recordist and Lighting Assistant.

Bringing understanding and respect

During August-October 2014 G G Services video-recorded several events presented by the Queensland Forum for Christians, Jews and Muslims to inform people about Muslim beliefs and practices. These events and the resultant DVDs and uploaded clips are being used to help bring understanding, respect and peace among these three Abrahamic faith communities. In particular, the Muslim speakers clearly disassociated their community and their beliefs from the recent terrorist activity purporting to be Islamic.

The Queensland Synod of the Uniting Church in Australia is a meeting of ordained and lay representatives held every 18 months to discuss significant issues, elect office-bearers, hear and respond to reports from Uniting Church agencies and Presbyteries (regional groupings of congregations), and share in worship.

About 360 delegates attended the October 2014 Synod, which was held on the Sunshine Coast.

G G Services managed the audio requirements for speakers and musicians, recorded the spoken word, provided three cameras and switched presentation and live video to three screens.
