Ways Forward In Ecumenism In This Contemporary Age

G G Services live-streamed a public talk on Ecumenism on Tuesday 11 October 2016. The 2016 Bishop Michael Putney Memorial Leweb-banner1cture was given by Rev. Dr Olav Fykse Tveit, General Secretary of the World Council of Churches.

This lecture series is presented by Queensland Churches Together and Brisbane Roman Catholic Council for Ecumenism and Inter-Religious Relations.

The series commemorates the late Roman Catholic Bishop of Townsville. He was well-known for his deep interest in ecumenism, and in 2013 was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia for his service to the Catholic Church in Australia and the Townsville community and for his efforts to promote interfaith dialogue.

This year’s event took place at Holy Spirit Seminary, Banyo, where Michael Putney studied for the priesthood in the 1960s. The program began at about 7.00pm AEST and can be viewed at https://livestream.com/ggservices/ecumenism.

Three cameras: one locked-off, one on remote PT head, one with operator.
