Songwrite 2018

Songwrite is a national Christian song-writing weekend held every 2-3 years and presented by the Uniting Church. The January 2018 event was held in Brisbane and attended by lyricists and composers.

G G Services provided av support, video-recorded all plenary sessions and the closing public worship, and produced audio recordings of new works created or “polished” during the workshop periods.

A parents’ conference

G G Services recently contracted to cover a one-day conference for the AEIOU Foundation in Brisbane. AEIOU operates a number of early intervention centres for young children with autism and provides support for their families. This parents’ conference included presentations, discussion and workshop activities covering current research, therapies, parenting techniques and skills. Significant information about the NDIS was provided.

G G Services captured the day’s program of talks and break-outs, including the projected AV graphics, for editing prior to upload to the AEIOU subscribers’ website.

International Interfaith Conference, 2016

G G Services assisted the video crew of the 2nd International Interfaith Conference, held on 30 November to 2 December 2016. This three-day20161130_083925 event took place at the Armitage Centre in Toowoomba, Queensland. The venue is a “black-box” theatre within the Empire Theatres complex.

The conference featured Australian and visiting international speakers. It was presented by the Toowoomba Interfaith Working Group and Pure Land Learning College Association (PLLCA), with support from the Goodwill Committee of Toowoomba.

The event was captured by 6 cameras (5 Sonys, 1 Ursa Mini). Each camera was iso-recorded (Sonys onto SD cards, Ursa onto SSD); three cameras were routed to control via SWIT wireless links and one cabled. The switcher output was recorded on a BMD Hyperdeck and live-streamed.

A back-up audio split from the FOH mixer was embedded at camera 1 via a Sennheiser G3 link, 20161130_083832and additional back-up audio included a separate G3 link (and a Senny shotgun aimed at the line array!) to the Ursa.

[Note that almost all of the video equipment was supplied by PLLCA.]
